Grangeville Swim Team - Summer 2025

Hello Parents & Swimmers!! Early Bird Registration is open for all returning swimmers only. New swimmers can register starting May 16th. Emma Edwards & Tabby Stoner will be coaching this year. In addition, we welcome Chloe Winder to our coaching staff. The plan is to still hold at least 2 evening stroke sessions per week.

Practice schedule for 2025 Season: June 17th - Aug 8th, 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Monday thru Friday & 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday thru Thursday

*Note: New swimmers need to be able to safely swim the length of the pool and will be tested the morning of June 16th.

The Grangeville Swim Meet is tentatively scheduled for August 2nd. We need parent volunteers to help at our swim meet! When buying swimsuits, please consider the options/links as listed in the terms and conditions during the registration process. Otherwise, they need to be navy or a combination of black and navy. Goggles are strongly suggested.

Frequently Asked Questions

What ages can participate?: The youngest age group for competition is 6 and under. For their safety, children need to be able to easily swim the length of the pool, 25 meters, using a crawl stroke, to participate.

When is practice?: Practices are every morning 8:00-9:30 M-F. Optional practice starts June 17th in the evenings 5-6 M-Th. Children are not required to attend both practices.

Is everyday practice required?: We understand that people have summer plans and will not make every practice. We encourage participants to attend one practice daily if possible.

When are swim meets?: We normally participate in three meets in each season: Kendrick, NezPerce, and Grangeville. Parents will be notified when the meets have been scheduled.

How do children make the team?: New swimmers will be required to swim the length of the pool, in the deep end, without stopping to rest and without struggle.

Do returning swimmers need to test?: No, returning swimmers are on the team at registration. Siblings will have to pass the swim test to participate.

What if there is a large waiting list?: If we have a large waiting list, swimmers who swim the entire length of the pool may unfortunately be unable to participate.

Why is there an 75 swimmer limit?: Due to pool size and safety for out swimmers, we cannot have more than 75 swimmers in the pool at a time.

What is the refund policy?: Refunds cannot be given mid season in the event the pool has to closed for any reason. GST cannot get a refund on insurance and coach salaries are guaranteed.
